Patience and longsuffering with joyfulness

Those of us who have been put away by our spouses should consider this a great opportunity to learn more of God's quality of longsuffering. We can continue to love and pray for our spouse as the LORD longsuffers that all men should be saved.

God's longsuffering towards us

Or despisest thou the riches of his
goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Romans 2:4

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
1 Timothy 6:16

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9

Faith and patience

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through
faith and patience inherit the promises.
Hebrews 6:12

Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord;
that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
James 5:10-11

Longsuffering is for us

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

But in all [things] approving ourselves as the ministers of God...
By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering...
